Community Partner: Entre Hermanos
This week, we're excited to highlight our community partner, Entre Hermano, an organization dedicated to helping Seattle's Latino LGBTQ community.
Entre Hermanos' mission is to promote the health and well-being of the Latino Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender, and Questioning community in a culturally-appropriate environment through disease prevention, education, support services, advocacy, and community building. Among the numerous resources provided, Entre Hermanos also offers Free HIV Testing every Monday from 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., as well as informational workshops and forums to discuss prevention on Sunday nights at Neighbours Nightclub.
Entre Hermanos also supports immigrants with appropriate legal assistance, advocacy, and immigration policy reform through collaboration with other nonprofits, community-based organizations, government agencies, and Latin American consulates. Each year on Latino Legislative Day and AIDS Action and Awareness Day, the organization also travels to Olympia, WA, to meet with lawmakers to build support for immigrant, low-income, and LGBTQ communities, along with communities of color.
